EVANGELISM MINISTRY

VISION

To move Grace Presbyterian Church to become a recognizable church that shows commitment to spread the gospel and to provide a bridge to usher individuals into worship service and community events that focus on a positive spiritual lifestyle. In addition we will pay particular attention to meeting our youth where they are to spread the Gospel utilizing vehicles that are most attractive to them.

The Evangelism Ministry continues to redevelop itself allowing spiritual restructuring to focus primarily on reinforcing “The Great Commission”….Matthew 28:19. We are prayerfully seeking how we can become stronger “soul winners for Christ”. The year began with the Annual Prayer Breakfast that initiated the church theme, “Be A Billboard for Jesus” – “I am not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes” Romans 1:16(NIV)

Throughout 2004 the Evangelism Ministry partnered with – BUILD, Childfirst Authority, and Youth Ministry for the following event:

1. Invited youth from Dr. Roland Patterson School to worship with Grace Presbyterian Church.

2. Sponsored a bowling and skating party for the youth

3. Held a planning session with the Maryland School for the Arts. In this Session church members submitted artwork for submission into the Park Heights Community mural being developed.

4. Directed community walks to distribute door-hangers listing various church Ministries.

5. During the General Assembly weekend taping – assisted in planning the “Youth Explosion”

The Evangelism Ministry continues to nurture the 9:00 a.m. ministry. This newest ministry has opened new opportunities for Grace Presbyterian Church to evangelize to visitors and to offer a contemporary style of worship along with our other ministries.

Spring Revival April 29, 30 and May 1^st

Community Day – September 6

Evangelism Sunday – September 28

Church-Wide Retreat – (No date or place scheduled)
